The Center is a place of...
Sister Maureen
Hope
The Center provides an outreach to the elderly and infirmed of the community.  Through visits to nursing homes, hospitals, the homebound and via telephone, Sister Maureen and many volunteers offer hope and reassurance to those who are alone or feel alone.

Sister Maureen Peace
When life is overwhelming and problems seem too great to handle, adults may need time apart. From retreats for Moms to a simple cup of tea with Sister Maureen, the Center provides a soothing atmosphere in which to regenerate body, mind and spirit.

Nourishment

The Center operates a Food Pantry Monday - Saturday which is housed in St. Charles Borromeo Church.  This pantry, stocked by the parishioners of St. Charles and area residents, provides free food to low-income families of Dover Plains and Wingdale.  When the paycheck doesn't quite stretch far enough, one phone call to Sister Maureen is all it takes to get nutritious food on the table!

The Center also sponsors the "Welcome Table".  Between the months of November through April, from 12:00 noon until 1:30 pm every Wednesday, free home made soup and sandwiches or hot entrees are available in the St. Charles Parish Hall.

The volunteers of the Welcome Table also deliver over 60 meals to shut-ins every week, providing nutritional food and good company to the poor, elderly and infirmed of the community.
